Half-day Historic Area

Enjoy four hours sampling some of the best of the Historic Area. Tour the Governor’s Palace, Capitol, or Raleigh Tavern and learn of the debates that raged in the years leading to independence. Visit a trade shop or historic house and discover something about the everyday life of Williamsburg’s 18th-century residents. Choose from any of the exhibition sites open during your visit and take part in scheduled programs.

Tickets provide morning access (9 a.m.–1 p.m.) or afternoon access (1–5 p.m.). See “Colonial Williamsburg This Week,” our weekly program guide, for a full schedule of building openings and Historic Area programming.

Half-day Museum Luncheon Tour

Adult $20 •• Youth* $10

Explore the museums, have lunch at the Museum Café, and participate in the day’s scheduled program ranging from musical performances or living history programs to arts-and-crafts demonstrations. Feast your eyes on vibrant displays of unique decorative arts and folk art on one of the guided tours of the museums. Experts will introduce your group to the material culture of the 18th and 19th centuries through fascinating stories behind the portraits, furniture, textiles, ceramics, and toys in the museum collections. Popular holiday programs include demonstrations of how to make holiday decorations.

Tours are offered Monday–Thursday and can be scheduled on the hour from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Tour, including program and lunch, lasts approximately two and a half to three hours.

Full-day Tour, Shop, and Dine

Choose what you want to see and experience, where you want to dine, and the stores at which you prefer to shop with Tour, Shop, and Dine group packages. Whether you partake of all three activities or just one or two of them, there is a specially priced package tailored for your group’s interests.

Adult Day-Group Admission Passes

One-day Group Pass

Adult $30 •• Youth* $15

This pass offers your group a taste of the Colonial Williamsburg experience. It provides access to Historic Area exhibition sites (including the Capitol and the Governor’s Palace), museums, and Revolutionary City® programming.

Two-day Group Pass

Adult $35 •• Youth* $17

The Two-day Pass provides full access (for up to two days) to Historic Area exhibition sites (including the Capitol and the Governor’s Palace), museums, and Revolutionary City programming.

Group Annual Pass

Adult $50 •• Youth* $25

This pass lets you explore all that Colonial Williamsburg offers during your stay and the flexibility to return any time for a year. This pass allows access to all daytime programs, museums, and exhibition sites, the Capitol, the Governor’s Palace, and Revolutionary City. Included is a 50% discount on Evening Colonial Programs (excluding dining events year-round and all holiday season performances).

Reservations required for all day tours and group packages. Please check in at the Group Arrivals Building located next to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center.

Group Hotel Guest Pass

Adult $29 •• Youth* $14

Your hotel pass offers extra value to guests who stay at Colonial Williamsburg hotels. It offers the freedom, flexibility, and convenience to enjoy the Colonial Williamsburg experience for the length of your stay. This pass allows access to all daytime programs, museums, and exhibition sites; the Capitol, the Governor’s Palace, and Revolutionary City; and a 50% discount on Evening Colonial Programs (excluding holiday season performances).

Group Hotel Value Pass

Adult $16 •• Youth* $8

This pass offers the same benefits as the Group Hotel Guest Pass, but at an even lower price for guests who begin their stay at Colonial Williamsburg hotels Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday.

Conference Pass

Adult $16 •• Youth* $8

This pass offers conference guest staying at Colonial Williamsburg hotels access to all daytime programs, museums, and exhibition sites for their length of stay.

*Youth rates apply to those who are 6 to 17 years old. Children 5 and younger are free.
