As you stroll through the various “garden rooms” that comprise the Governor’s Palace gardens, learn how and why the 10-acres of landscaped grounds have changed since they were first designed in the early 1700s. Along the way, meet a staff horticulturist who will explain his or her garden task that day. By the end of this one-hour walking tour, you will gain an understanding of the choices and skills required to preserve historic gardens.
Guests will be going up and down steps during the entire tour. Not recommended for children under twelve.
Free reservation required. Space is limited for this program. To book your reservation, please visit a ticket office or call our Guest Services at (888) 965-7254.
