Memphis Gold Blues - Otis Redding Tribute

Enjoy an evening of high energy blues with Chester Chandler of Memphis Gold as he pays tribute to Otis Redding along with special guests Bobby BlackHat, Ms. Zeno the Mojo Queen, and Zach T. Brown.

Memphis Gold has come a long way on a journey that has lasted half a century. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1955, Memphis Gold, Chester Chandler was the thirteenth child of fourteen. His father also a musician introduced his son to the guitar at the tender age of 4. By the age of 8, he was a regular on historic Beale Street in Memphis where he played the guitar and danced for pocket change from the crowd. After decades of juke joints, blues festivals, and Navy military duty, Memphis Gold landed in the nation’s capital, Washington, D.C. The blues world continues to discover and love the music of Memphis Gold.

Note: Tickets are sent by email. You can either show the ticket from your phone at the door or print them out. Both are accepted.

Lobby opens at 6:15 pm. Seating is general admission.

Parking near Merchants Square is recommended. If you plan to park at the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center, please check the bus schedule.
