Located at the corner of Waller Street and York Street, this beautifully reconstructed home offers a glimpse into the past, where tailor David Morton and his family once lived. Purchased by Morton in 1777, the house was reconstructed in 1953, preserving its historical character while offering modern comforts.

A Rich History in Williamsburg

The David Morton House is located near Christiana Campbell’s Tavern, a key landmark in Williamsburg’s history. Before David Morton, the property was the site of a store operated by William Lewis, who rented from Benjamin Waller. In 1777, Morton, a skilled tailor, acquired the property, and he and his family resided there until his death in 1800. The home has been carefully restored, providing a unique opportunity to stay in a historically significant property while enjoying the convenience of modern amenities.
